Donuts Coffee Shop of Park Slope, Brooklyn
This painting is a part of my Disappearing Brooklyn series. Donuts Coffee Shop was a family run business located on 5th Ave in Park Slope and with its bright orange facade, it was always a ray of sunshine in the neighborhood. Who doesn’t get a smile on their face when they think of donuts?!? Sadly, like many other small businesses, they ended up closing as the supermarket next door expanded into their space, but I’ll always remember it fondly. Support your local small businesses before they are all replaced by Starbucks and chain stores!
